MoVie UpDaTe: Nollywood HIT Movie(FLOWER GIRL) to Debut in UK

A Hit Nigerian film, "Flower Girl," will make its
debut in UK cinemas in October. Flower Girl, the
second feature film from director Michelle Bello,
will enjoy nationwide distribution when it is
released in The Odeon, Vue, Cineworld and
independent cinemas in a few months' time.
The story follows Kemi (actress Damilola Adegbite), a
young impressionable woman who has her sights set on
marrying Umar (Chris Attoh), a corporate bigwig who is
striving to get ahead in his career. When their relationship
hits troubled waters, Kemi seeks the help of movie star
Tunde (Chuks Chukwujeku) and together they hatch a plan
to get Kemi what she wants, but the plan doesn't quite
work out as they anticipate.
Flower Girl was a big hit in Nigeria, topping the country's
movie charts and attracting rave reviews despite having
no major Nollywood Stars in a leading role.
The film enjoyed similar success when it was debuted in
Ghana and is hoping for the same reception when it arrives
in the UK.
Talking Drum Entertainment, which specialises in black film
and TV distribution, are behind the film's release on these
shores.
They said: "The film which has already been a success in
Nigeria and Ghana as gone through a complete re-edit with
the help of top African filmmaker Mahmood Ali-Balogun
(Tango with Me) and according to Michelle international
audiences will be in for an even better film experience with
this new version of the film."
